When we get a window to fish between cold fronts the fishing has been good. After a cold front it takes a couple days for the water to clean up. Snapper is the best bet right now. Stirred up water helps the mangrove snapper lane snapper and yellowtail snapper bite because of their good eyesight.
Big gag grouper have moved in strong with the cold weather. Amberjacks have been larger than normal in the all day grounds running a 30 lb average and some fish being caught over 50. Not much to talk about with the red grouper right now. Gags catch and release. We’re also getting red grouper, steady but one or two a trip.
